Institutional based Rehabilitation Programmes

With an objective to make the differently abled children independent and self-sufficient, Sadbhabana is running an institutional based rehabilitation center for children with Intellectual Disability named PRAYAS at Naranpur, Keonjhar since 2008. Regular health checkups and different therapies like Physiotherapy, Speech Therapy and occupational Therapy, Dance ,sp orts & Music therapy, yoga, Martial art on regular basis to these children. Besides education we provide the children the life skill education. To enhance the sportive spirit among the children, the organization organized Annual sports in each year. Our children have been participating and awarded in various District, State and National level competitions. Different Local, National and International days like World Autism Awareness day, Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav, World Physiotherapy Day, International Day of Older Persons, Teacher’s Day, Gandhi Jayanti, World Cerebral Palsy Day, World Mental Health Day, International Day For The Persons With Disabilities, Children’s Day, International Women’s Day & World Down Syndrome Day are observed to create awareness among the target groups . A Special School for the Children with Cerebral Palsy is also running by the Organization from 2017, with the approval of Govt. of Odisha during the educational year 2021-22, having the student’s strength of 30.This school has extended Special Educational & Therapeutic interventions through experienced Professionals. Two nos of Therapeutic and Rehabilitation Centers are running successfully at Naranpur and Jhumpura Keonjhar with a strength of 65 and 35 nos of Intellectual Disability, Cerebral Palsy and Multiple Disable Children and Persons With Disabilities respectively with the support of SSEPD(Social Security & Empowerment of Persons with Disabilities) , Govt of Odisha. Here different Therapeutic Interventions, Special Education and vocational training are conducted on daily basis to the inmates according to their condition & need. With the support of National Trust, New Delhi, Gharaunda centre (A shelter home for PWDs and CWSNs)has been organized at Haladiatangiri, Naranpur, Keonjhar from 2017, New Delhi. With the support of experienced staffs we provide physiotherapy, Special Education, Speech therapy, vocational Training in this center.
